Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo

This recipe is always a hit over the holidays- but works for any day you want a special occasion meal! It would make the perfect Valentine’s day meal!


Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak of choice (Ribeye, New York, Sirloin, Picahna, etc…)

  • 4 Tbsp butter

  • 1 ½ Tbs minced garlic

  • 8 oz cream cheese

  • 2 cups of heavy whipping cream

  • 1 cup fresh shredded parmesan

  • 2- 4 Tbs Sun dried tomatoes (based on preference)

  • 1 Tbs Fresh basil (can use basil paste)

  • Pepper (to taste)

  • Salt (to taste)

  • Gorgonzola cheese crumbles (for garnish)

  • Balsamic


Directions

  1. Boil salted water in a pot

  2. Cook fettuccine according to box directions

  3. Drain when finished cooking

  4. While noodles are cooking:

  5. In a large pan melt butter and add garlic Cook until fragrant

  6. Cut cream cheese into 1 inch block and add

  7. Stir and cook on low until melted

  8. Add heavy whipping cream and parmesan

  9. Cook until melted and smooth

  10. Add in sun dried tomatoes and fresh basil

  11. Add in pepper to taste (roughly ½ - 1 tsp)

  12. Add in a pinch of salt (to taste)

  13. While making alfredo heat a cast iron pan:

  14. Salt and pepper steak on both sides

  15. Sear and cook steak to desired doneness

  16. Remove steak and let rest

  17. Slice into thin strips

  18. Layer noodles, alfredo and steak

  19. Top with gorgonzola crumbles

  20. Drizzle with balsamic
