WHAT IS SPROUT FINISHED?
Our all-natural beef is sprout-finished with barley and pea sprouts, grown in our own hydroponic plant on the ranch. The animals are finished for 120 days on 100lbs of fresh grass fodder each day. This unique finishing feed lends to a superior grass-finished beef that is well marbled, has depth of flavor, and is tender.
SPROUT FINISHED ADVANTAGE
For humans, sprouts have a very high nutrient content as compared to mature vegetables. The health benefits of feeding cattle sprouts cannot be ignored as well. Our fodder system allows us to feed our cattle fresh barley sprouts every single day of the year. No matter how bad the weather gets in the winter or how dry it gets in the summer, our cattle are able to eat fresh grass. The health benefits of the fodder diet can be seen visually in our animals, and that health is translated into the beef product we provide our customers.

McCafferty Ranch is a third generation cattle ranch dating back to 1926. We are located at the base of the Little Belt Mountains in a region of North Central Montana that the Indians deemed "the land of plenty" due to its abundance of wildlife and buffalo. This beautiful and plentiful land is perfect for raising the finest cattle available.
We have a goal to provide the highest quality beef directly to consumers. This "ranch to table" concept allows the customer to know where their beef came from and how it was raised.
